Thank you so much for tagging me @bibliophilecats

I’ve had a great bookish year so far and am really looking forward to the second half of it, so let’s get cracking!

    1. Best book you read so far this year
“I was born for this” by Alice Oseman. Alice can do no wrong in my eyes, I love all her books and on top of that she’s also an amazing person! Go say hi to her on tumblr, she’s so lovely!

    2. Worst book you read so far this year
I was quite disappointed in “Authority”, the second of the “Annihilation” series by Jeff van der Meer. It just felt painfully slow and uneventful and not nearly as unsettling as the first book, probably because almost none of it was actually set inside Area X. I also feel like we haven’t really learned anything new about Area X and I found that quite frustrating.

    3. Completed any series?
I didn’t complete any but I did catch up on the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch and on the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh.

    4. Anticipated read for the second half of the year
“Georgia Peaches and other Forbidden Fruit” by Jaye Robyn Brown is super high on my list as I’ve been waiting for it to come out in paperback for well over a year now! I’m also extremely excited for “The Muse of Nightmares” by Laini Taylor and of course “Kingdom of Ash” by Sarah J. Maas (who isn’t?).

    5. A book that disappointed you
    See Answer #2

    6. How many books have you read so far this year?
29 so far, not counting the massive amount of fanfiction I consume in between books.

    7. A book that made you laugh
“Monstrous Regiment” by Terry Pratchett because all of Pratchett’s books make me laugh and I was re-reading it recently.

    8. Estimated read count for the year?
50 books is the goal but I hope to go over and get to 60.
